Project 4, Part 3

I’m working with the owner of a non-profit organization that rescues and adopts dogs to redesign their website.  The organization is called Labs and Buddies Rescue.  Below are a couple site maps and wire frame ideas for the site.

Site Map 1:

This site map has direct links to the most important pages of the site: Available Dogs, Private Party Adoptions, Adopted Dogs, Store, and Docate.  There are a few subpages the directly relate to the superpage (link to an online adoption form from the adoption page).

Labs Site Maps

This site is slightly more complex, but I like it more because it breaks down the most important page (the Available Dogs page) so that the user will have a little more control over finding the dog they are looking for.  I also added an About Us page and Contact Us page which I had forgot in the previous site map.

Wire Frame: Home Page

The Home Page is the format for all pages.  The top banner and menu as well at the footer will all be uniform throughout the site (except for the Store page, which is an third-party site, and the online Adoption Form, which is a fillable pdf).  The center section will be what changes.  The homepage will have a large picture of one or more of the animals up for adoption.  A small introduction to the site and the organization will also be on the home page.

Wire Frame: Subpage

This is an example of a subpage, in particular, the page that feature the dogs up for adoption.  The page will feature a picture of the dog and a some information about him.  The user will be able to scroll horizontally through the list, one dog at a time.  One page will feature the smaller dogs, and another will feature the bigger ones.
